Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager will act as the team leader on a variety of projects for Critical Project Services. The primary focus of the role is to manage client expectations throughout the duration of all projects, including but not limited to design, construction, and financial matters. The Senior Project Manager will lead on-site Project Managers and Project Engineers, and have extensive knowledge of commercial and mission-critical construction. The Senior Project Manager will also focus on building and developing the team, including training and coaching, and be heavily involved in sales and business development meetings as needed.

Pre Project Responsibilities
  • Work with Principals and others to prepare and/or assist in the proposal writing of a given project
  • Work with Principals and others to develop and determine fees for a given project
  • Accompany the Principals on sales meetings and interviews
Project Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple Project Managers on multiple construction projects simultaneously
  • Meet with the Owner and act as Critical Project Services representative
  • Provide input on technical and contractual issues during the project
  • Provide input to the Project Team concerning design or construction change orders
  • Review project costs and assist in A/R with the Owner
Requirements

Requirements for the position include a BS in Construction Management or Engineering or related degree as well as a minimum of ten years in technically complex construction, with experience as a Senior PM or Project Executive highly preferred. Experience reviewing contracts, managing deliverables, and driving large construction teams is also strongly preferred. Expert communication and client service is required.


Project Manager

The Project Manager will act as the owner’s representative on Critical Project Services projects. The primary responsibilities of the role are to represent the client’s needs for the duration of the construction project, from design conception through project closeout. Key aspects include involvement in meetings, oversight of contractor work, budget control, and schedule oversight. A successful Project Manager will also add value engineering, cost analysis, and risk management to the team.

Pre Project Responsibilities
  • Work with Principals and others to prepare and/or assist in the proposal writing of a given project
  • Work with Principals and others to develop and determine fees for a given project
  • Accompany the Principals on sales meetings and interviews
Project Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact between Critical Project Services and the Owner
  • Act as the Owner’s main point of contact during the design, construction and close out phases
  • Administer/ process contractual documents for the Owner
  • Understand and interpret architectural and engineering construction documents
  • Chair coordination meetings as deemed necessary to maintain adequate project control
  • Assure notes of conference meeting minutes are developed for all project meetings
  • Work with the Project Team to develop coordination Needs Lists
  • Work with the Project Team to review any design or construction change orders on behalf of the Owner
  • Review project costs and assist in generating billings to the Owner
  • Observe construction progress and provide feedback to the Project Team
Requirements

Requirements for the position include a BS in Construction Management or Engineering or a related degree with over five years of technically complex construction experience. The abilities to develop and manage teams, communicate effectively, identify and resolve complex issues, and travel are essential to the success of the Project Manager.


Project Engineer

The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager in the day to day responsibilities of the project to which he/she is assigned. The Project Engineer has the ability to work with limited supervision, perform routine daily activities and gather and distribute information. The Project Engineer must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

Project Responsibilities
  • Management and coordination of subcontractors

  • Schedule oversight
  • Tasks focused on bringing the project in on-time and under budget
  • Perform cost estimates and surveys for scopes of work
  • Manage trades from different disciplines
Requirements

Requirements for the position include a BS in Construction Management or Engineering or a related degree with between one and three years of commercial construction experience, excellent communication and time management skills, computer skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. The ability to read and understand construction documents and specifications, an understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and travel are essential to the success of the Project Engineer.


Electrical Designer

Critical Project Services is seeking an energetic Electrical Designer with experience in power distribution and generation. Job duties will include design of electrical power distribution systems within mission critical data center facilities, laboratories and high-tech manufacturing.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Confer with engineers and design staff to interpret design concepts
  • Review all applicable documentation and company procedural manuals to determine critical attributes of design
  • Perform calculations in preparation for designing products
  • Retrieve and review all customer specification documents, vendor quotes, drawings and diagrams for creating electrical designs for customer
  • Revise drawings and designs based on change orders and customer requests
  • Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications
  • Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials
Requirements
  • Two year technical or associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Construction Technology, Electrical Technology
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, Revit, Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD MEP
  • Demonstrated knowledge of or interest in MEP systems and their installation, with an emphasis on electrical installations preferred
  • Possess an understanding of drawing and modeling organization, detail, and precision
